Father's Day

We wanted to bless Daddy with something extra special to celebrate Father's Day. When Danny asked Titon what was inside the gift bag, Titon said with no hesitation, "books!" So much for keeping it a surprise! :)

At The Kitchen Sink

Titon LOVES playing in the water! If we're outside, he likes to grab the garden hose and pretend to water the grass and flowers. And, if Mom or Dad is willing, he loves to stand at the kitchen sink and help do dishes! He pours water from cup to cup and likes to rinse the clean dishes over and over again. :)

Swimming

We were excited to head to the wading pool again this summer! We didn't know if Titon would remember it from last season, but it only took a few minutes for him to warm up to it again. He had fun playing in the fountains!

Let's Play Ball!

"Mr. T" has always had fun playing with balls, and he has an impressive arm and aim for a little guy his size! Daddy thought it would be good to get him a t-ball set to practice hitting and he got the hang of it quickly. It didn't take long for us to realize we'll need to play with this toy outside or in the basement. :)

Running the bases! Go, Titon, go!

Words, Words, Words!

Titon's vocabulary is expanding rapidly! He's 23 months old now, and at the beginning of this month we could count at least 75 words he could say. Just a few weeks later, he had doubled that number! It seems as though each day, we hear him try out a handful of new words. It's fascinating to see how he's learning to communicate and fun to ask him to repeat us. It's cute that he sometimes adds a "y" sound to words such as "wormy" or "waddie" (water). :) He's also starting to put words together to say two or three word phrases such as "Daddy, home" or "Mommy, up!" :)

Titon recognizes and says "A," "B," "C," and "D" and likes to practice writing "T." He also really enjoys coloring -- his favorite color right now is orange. :)

One afternoon, we got to visit Daddy at work over his lunch break and Titon loved seeing the big trucks! When Danny comes home from work, Titon is quick to incite him to wrestle and tickle... one of his favorite parts of the day. I'm so grateful for a Daddy who loves to play, even after a long work day!

Titon is always ready to go for a ride in Dad's truck to run errands on the weekends. He knows the exact spots where a sucker is waiting for him (i.e. the bank, pharmacy, and barber shop)! One Saturday morning, he came home with a blue cotton candy sucker and insisted on eating it alongside his pancakes and eggs. Sugar on top of sugar!

He did inherit Mom and Dad's sweet tooth for ice cream! After our usual trip to the library on Tuesday evenings, we often stop at McD's for a special treat. :)
