Six Months Old

Happy Six Months, sweet Titon!  You are such a joy to us!

Titon is changing so fast!  Each new month brings more learning and exploring.  He's growing stronger all the time.  When we're holding him, he supports his body so well and can easily lean, lunge, move from side to side, wiggle, and squirm all over us!  He loves to wrestle with Dad. :)

He can sit up to play for longer stretches of time (still with a little help), and is fascinated with anything new in sight. :)

He's found his toes! :)

And, he's been extra cuddly lately.  We love every moment with our little boy.

Solid Foods

...A big moment we've been waiting for!  We've tried little bites of avocados, bananas, and cream of wheat so far, and it has been an adventure!  Titon's expressions are comical... even if he seems to like the taste, he's not sure what to make of the new texture or the spoon. :)  We'll be getting lots more practice when we start rice cereal soon.

He definitely likes bagels as a finger food though!

Talk to Me

Our funny boy is making all kinds of new sounds.  He's trying out "g," "b," "r," "d," "l," and even "s" sounds, and gurgling little words like "gu," "grl," "dis," and "br."  He's a talkative little guy and smiles when we repeat back his sounds.  If anyone heard us from the next room, they would be entertained!

Grasp and Release

Titon has started the fun, new game of dropping toys over the edge of his high chair tray.  How do babies always seem to find the "edge"?!  He's perfected the palmar grasp and is learning the concept of releasing whatever he picks up to see where it goes.  He definitely pays attention if Mom and Dad notice and put his toys back on his tray (we're not tired of it yet!)... and the fun and learning continues. :)

Just Call Me Fingers

Titon is learning to count on his fingers.

One...

Two...

Three, Four, Five...

And, when five just aren't enough!

He also loves to hook this thumb and "rooster-tail" the rest of his fingers. :)

He loves those fingers!  They're God's design for a perfect "teether" while working on his first teeth to come in.  So far, one little bud is coming through on top.
